Enjoy PRONTO like a Roman.

A number of restaurants in Emilia have started to serve real Lambrusco in ceramic beakers. They keep Lambrusco at the right temperature for a much longer period of time.

Beakers were mainly used for drinking by the Romans. They varied greatly in size: Some held only as much as a modern coffee cup, others as much as a pint glass. They were often covered with a colored slip and were decorated.

Other forms of drinking vessels were the ‘cup’ (with a wide mouth like a bowl, but a small diameter) and the ‘tankard’ (with a handle).
